Journal of the American Medical Association (Staff medical illustrator)

Medical and biological illustration combines my passion for visual communication with my interest in science and teaching and allows me to give something positive back to society. My goal as an illustrator is to clarify the inherent complexity of medical and biological science using principles of design and storytelling. My work combines scientific accuracy with methodical organization and exceptional craftsmanship to ensure the audience not only understands the science, but feels a sense of enjoyment during the process of learning.

In addition to my role as an illustrator, I leverage my experience as an industrial designer working in large multidisciplinary teams to help comfortably guide each client through the process of designing visual content. I strive to ensure that each illustration meets my clients specific stylistic needs while being sensitive to the audiences educational experience.
