The Last of us

Nicholas Reback is originally from Madison, Wisconsin. He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2002. He spent most of his career designing medical devices for Design Concepts, an award winning product development and innovation firm in his hometown. He has worked for clients such as Abbott Labs, Ikaria, Smith & Nephew, Edwards Life Sciences, Boston Scientific and Cardinal Health.

Nicholas has always had a passion for teaching and considers himself a lifelong learner. He has taught drawing fundamentals to engineers as well as design students at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. During his design career he continued to pursue coursework in life drawing, illustration and graphic design and expanded his skillset to involve furniture, interior and landscape design.

In 2013, Nicholas left his career to pursue a new direction as a Medical Illustrator, a career that would combine his interest in visual communication with his passion for science and teaching and allow him to give something positive back to society. He hopes to apply his experience at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine towards improving the understanding of medical science for a wide range of audiences.
